Surf Swimming - Specialist Training

This course is specifically based for ocean training, the type of skills you learn is entering the water (both aggressively and tactically to have a surf sense and the ability to have one up on your oponents).
- Entering Water
- Negotiating Surf/Waves
- Apex water racing
- Exiting ocean to beach sprint finish
Once you have made your way through the surf it is to hold your own till the impact zone on the inside, where you have do be able to catch a wave and hold it all the way to the inside. This action involves being able to hold your breath the having to run at full speed up to the finishing line.
Surf Swimming: The Aims; to be able to make your way through the surf successfully, using rip currents and surf skills. Wash riding may also help putting much pressure on you opponent.
Tip: Concentrate on body surfing, this can gain you much time or distance on your opponents, (holding of your breath helps).
This program is open to all ages as it is good for all the muscle groups. As a sport swimming is a good sporting base for all sports that involve practical and energetic programs.
Surf swimming is different to pool swimming as you use different muscle groups and technique through the water to make an effective and progressive stroke.
The use of training and paddling equipment would be used to improve strength, stamina, and speed through the water. This helps the competitor to gain endurance and performance.
Still water training will help an Iron Man or Diamond Lady gain commitment and fitness over their opponent.
