First Aid Training

All our first aid training is delivered in line with the HSE 2009 guidelines

  & the 2010 European Resuscitation Council recommendations.



Emergency first aid in the workplace (HSE compliant)
  -  £297.00 per group / £53.00 per person

Six hours either one day or two three hour sessions.


It is designed for lower-risk businesses, where a risk assessment has indicated that a lower level of first aid cover is sufficient.

First aid at work (HSE compliant)
  -  £1176.00 per group / £157.00 per person

This course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace. The course will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.

First aid at work re-qualification (HSE compliant)
  -  £581.00 per group / £93.00 per person

Two days – externally assessed on second day

Can be taken up to three months prior to expiry and have the date carried forward. This course updates the First aid skills of those who need to renew their statutory First aid at work certificate and whose existing certificate is still valid. First aiders whose certificates have expired beyond 28 days must attend the full three-day First aid at work course. All our first aid courses include defibrillator awareness.

First aid at work annual refresher


Three hours.

This refresher course is strongly recommended by the Health and Safety Executive and provides you with an opportunity to practise and update your skills. It is good practice to attend this at 12 months and 24 months after qualifying (re-qualifing). We recommend this for holders of Emergency First aid in the Workplace as well.

Level two award in pædiatric first aid (PFA)
  -  £494.00 per group / £77.00 per person

12 hours, two days / four evenings WILL NOT BE CANCELLED DUE TO LOW NUMBERS

For people in child care & preschools &  parents. Common childhood complaints and first aid for youths and babies. Satisfies OFSTED and SureStart requirements.

First aid for schools


Six hours

This course focuses on emergency situations typical to school environments and covers both adult and child first aid protocols. It does not qualify someone to provide First aid at work or Emergency first aid at work treatment and is not HSE regulated. Our Emergency First Aid in the Workplace course can be adapted to include first aid for children and also be covered by HSE regulations.

Epilepsy Awareness including Buccal Midazolam

1.  Epilepsy Awareness and Seizure Management - 3hr course
  

2.  Epilepsy Awareness and Buccal Midazolam Administration – 4 hr course
    

A variety of customised epilepsy courses for groups or individuals at introductory or advanced levels are available. We use a variety of teaching and learning methods such as multi media presentations, workshops and case studies, discussion groups and practical demonstrations and simulated practice sessions. Courses include Epilepsy Awareness and First Aid for Seizures, Practical Management for Seizures, and Buccal Midazolam (Epistatus) administration but not Rectal diazepam (Stesolid)

Outdoor pursuits / Equestrian handlers first aid
  -  £335.00 per group / £57.00 per person

The content varies for different lead bodies. It is usually between 7 and 18 hours and the content is tailored to the needs of the client.
