NARS Surf Coach
The NARS Surf Coach, in conjunction with the BSA Surf Coach Award, is the prerequisite qualification for working as a surf coach / instructor and covers the various lifesaving skills and techniques necessary to operate a safe surfing lesson. The course is delivered by experienced instructors who will support you throughout.
Complete a timed swim of 400 metres over a measured course, in a pool not less than 25 metres in length using a front stroke. A time of 9:00 minutes is accepted as the maximum time permitted for the swim. Complete a timed run of 200 metres over a measured course, on a beach. A time of 60 seconds is accepted as the maximum time permitted for the run. Courses are suitable for all those aged 16 years and above and qualifications are valid for 36 months.
The cost of the course is £275 (student rate £245)
Renewal before 36 months of expiry for a 5 day course - Cost £175.
