Surf Life Saving Association of Great BritainOur Academy is fully accredited by these guys. We are also the one of the few NARS (National Aquatic Rescue Standards) Beach Lifeguard training centres in the country. |

Royal Life Saving SocietyAs members of the RLSS (Royal Lifesaving Society) of Great Britain, we provide pool lifeguards for camp sites all across North Devon. |

National Coaching Foundation/Sports Coach UKAll our instructors hold the Sports Coach UK certificate required to be an official BSA surf instructor. The Nick Thorn/Hunter Surf Academy is also fully sanctioned by the National Coaching Foundation. |

British Surfing AssociationAll surf schools are required to be accredited by the BSA (British Surfing Association). Our Academy is fully accredited to Level 3, plus we are the only BSA Level 1 Training Centre in North Devon. |

Swimming Teachers AssociationThe Nick Thorn/Hunter Surf Academy also run specific swimming courses. We have current insurance with the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) specifically required for our swim school. |

Amateur Swimming AssociationAs with the STA, we are actively involved with the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) with the running of Beginner and Advanced swim lessons. |

Encams/Blue Flag Seaside AwardsAll our classes & coaching takes place on Woolacombe's award winning 6-mile golden sand beach (apart from pool swimming, of course!). Privately owned by Parkin Estates, the beach is consistently awarded the Encam/Seaside Awards top endorsment - The Blue Flag Award. Awarded for water quality, beach cleanlin&ss & facilities, Woolacombe has held this award every year since it's introduction. |
